300/400/600/700 Series Vapor Actuated Remote Dial Indicating Thermometers
The NOSHOK 300, 400, 600, and 700 Series Vapor Actuated Remote Dial Indicating Thermometers provide highly reliable, vibration-resistant temperature indication at distances up to 100 feet. As media temperature changes at the sensing bulb, the internal fill fluid vaporizes, exerting pressure through the capillary to a precision Bourdon tube movement. Available in 2-1/2" brass case (300 Series), 4" and 6" all stainless steel case (400 Series), and 4-1/2" heavy-duty phenolic turret case (600/700 Series), with dry or liquid-filled executions, front/rear flange, bezel, and U-clamp mountings.
Indicates media temperature using vapor-actuated sensing element coupled to a high-accuracy Bourdon tube movement
Remote reading capability up to 100 feet away for safe panel and control board mounting
Accuracy: ±2.0% full scale (Grade B, ASME B40.4) with progressive scale giving maximum resolution in upper operating half
2-1/2" (300 Series Brass), 4" and 6" (400 Series 304 SS), and 4-1/2" (600/700 Series Phenolic Turret) dial sizes

Product Description
The NOSHOK 300, 400, 600, and 700 Series Vapor Actuated Remote Indicating Thermometers provide dependable process monitoring where direct stem immersion is impractical or unsafe. Operating on vapor pressure thermal expansion, the vaporized fluid actuates a rugged Bourdon tube mechanism with non-linear progressive dial graduations.
Because thermal vapor pressure increases exponentially with temperature, graduations widen toward the top of the scale, providing exceptional optical resolution and precision in the critical operating band. Remote capillaries up to 100 feet allow mounting on central instrument panels away from extreme process heat, vibration, or hazardous atmospheres.
Remote transmission over capillary tubing eliminates personnel exposure to high-temperature or hazardous media
Progressive non-linear scale provides maximum dial resolution and readability in the upper operating zone
Multiple case executions: compact brass for OEM, rugged stainless steel for washdown, and phenolic turret for process plants
Armored capillary sheathing prevents accidental pinching, cutting, or mechanical damage during routing
Liquid fill options dampen severe mechanical pulsation and extend gauge service life

Operating Notes
Because vapor actuation requires non-linear scale geometry, the finest resolution and accuracy occur across the upper 50% of dial span.
Longer capillary runs require proportionately longer sensing bulbs to maintain adequate vapor charge displacement.
Thermowells are strongly recommended for high pressure, high velocity, or corrosive process fluid installations.
Armored capillary models (types 2 and 4) are recommended for industrial machinery and rough conduit routing.
For ambient temperatures below freezing, specify -40° service fill fluid (option 2).
Front flange and U-clamp mountings allow clean flush integration into instrument panels and control consoles.
