Type 10/10H Standard & Elevated Pressure Replaceable Diaphragm Seals
NOSHOK Type 10 and Type 10H Bolted Replaceable Diaphragm Seals are designed to isolate and protect pressure measuring instruments (dial gauges from 2-1/2" to 6", pressure transmitters, transducers, and switches) from high process temperatures, corrosive media, slurry clogging, and crystallization. Built with a bolted two-piece flanged housing and an internal elastomeric/metallic O-ring seal, they feature an easily replaceable flexible diaphragm clamped between the upper and lower housings. The Type 10 is rated for standard working pressures up to 2,000 psig (3.0" diaphragm, 3.2 ml volumetric displacement), while the Type 10H features a continuous-duty upper housing rated for elevated pressures up to 5,000 psig (2-1/2" diaphragm, 1.4 ml displacement). Both types offer versatile process connections from 1/4" NPT to 1-1/2" NPT, optional 1/8" or 1/4" NPT flushing ports for in-line cleaning without process removal, direct or remote capillary mounting, and an extensive selection of corrosion-resistant wetted alloys including 316 Stainless Steel, Hastelloy C-276, Monel 400, Inconel 600, Titanium Grade 4, Tantalum, PTFE, and FKM.
Isolates pressure gauges (2-1/2" to 6"), transmitters, transducers, and switches from extreme temperatures, corrosive chemicals, and clogging slurries
Type 10 standard pressure rating up to 2,000 psig (3.0" diaphragm diameter, 3.2 ml displacement)
Type 10H elevated pressure rating up to 5,000 psig with continuous-duty upper housing (2-1/2" diaphragm, 1.4 ml displacement)
Replaceable clamped diaphragm design enables cost-effective maintenance and material changeovers without replacing entire seal assembly

Product Description
NOSHOK Type 10 and Type 10H Replaceable Diaphragm Seals provide a dependable mechanical barrier separating sensitive pressure instruments from harsh industrial process media. By transferring system hydraulic pressure through a flexible diaphragm and an incompressible transmission fill fluid, these seals protect pressure gauges, transmitters, and switches from premature failure caused by extreme process temperatures, chemical corrosion, suspended solids, slurries, and rapid fluid crystallization.
The bolted two-piece design allows the diaphragm and lower housing to be quickly inspected, cleaned, or replaced in the field without discarding the entire instrument assembly. Type 10 is engineered for standard industrial applications up to 2,000 psig, whereas Type 10H utilizes a reinforced continuous-duty upper housing rated for high-pressure service up to 5,000 psig. Both seals support flushing ports for purging solids buildup without breaking line containment.
Clamped replaceable diaphragm construction minimizes life-cycle maintenance costs in severe media
High pressure capability up to 5,000 psig with Type 10H continuous-duty upper housing
Broad metallurgical compatibility for aggressive acids, caustics, chlorides, sour gas, and abrasive fluids
Flushing port options (1/8" or 1/4" NPT) simplify periodic sediment cleanout and zero calibration verification
Available with factory capillary tubing and cooling elements for high temperature process lines

Operating & Selection Notes
Fill Fluid Selection: Fill fluids must be chemically compatible with the process media to prevent hazards in the event of diaphragm damage (e.g., Glycerin must never be used with strong oxidizing agents such as chlorine, oxygen, nitric acid, or hydrogen peroxide).
Temperature Dissipation: For elevated media temperatures above instrument limits, specify a cooling element or remote capillary line filled with high-temperature silicone fluid.
Flushing Port Maintenance: Flushing connections (1F / 2F) enable cleaning of particulate buildup from the wetted lower cavity without depressurizing or dismantling the process line.
Type 10H continuous duty design prevents fill fluid loss if the attached pressure gauge or transducer is removed.
Large volumetric displacement provides excellent sensitivity and minimal thermal drift on low-pressure spans.
Broad alloy availability ensures long service life in corrosive acids, chlorides, and caustic chemical applications.
