SOR U200/U201/U202/U203 Series Ultra-C 20 SCFM High Purity Compressed Air Filters
SOR Controls Group / King U200, U201, U202, and U203 Series Ultra-C™ 20 SCFM High Purity Compressed Air Filters are engineered for point-of-use air purification in demanding industrial automation, packaging lines, paint and powder coating systems, precision machine tools, and pneumatic instrumentation. Delivering 20 SCFM @ 100 psig (34 m³/hr @ 7 bar), these filters utilize a self-draining coalescing scrubber cartridge (Type 750) to remove 99.9% of liquid aerosols and solid particulates down to 0.1 micron. Dual-stage models (U202 and U203) incorporate an upper color-change indicating polisher cartridge that visually shifts from white to pink as it approaches saturation, providing a clear visual warning before any breakthrough occurs. Available with manual drain (U200/U202) or automatic float drain (U201/U203).
Point-of-use high-purity compressed air filtration delivering 20 SCFM @ 100 psig (34 m³/hr @ 7 bar)
99.9% rated efficiency at 0.1 micron; up to 99.998% absolute retention on dual-stage configurations
U200 / U201: Single-stage coalescing scrubber (U3002 Type 750) with manual or automatic drain
U202 / U203: Dual-stage filtration with coalescing scrubber plus color-change indicating polisher (U3003 Type 750)

Operating & Maintenance Notes
Coalescing scrubber cartridges self-drain captured liquid aerosols into the sump for continuous separation.
Color-change indicating polisher cartridge visually signals exhaustion by turning pink from bottom to top.
Automatic drain models require at least 20 psig inlet pressure to establish positive float actuation.
Clean polycarbonate sumps only with warm water and mild detergent; solvent cleaners cause stress-cracking.
Product Description
Filtering compressed air solely at a central compressor room is rarely sufficient for critical end-use pneumatic equipment. Distribution piping invariably introduces pipe scale, rust, compressor lubricant aerosols, and condensed water vapor. The SOR / King Filters U200 Series Ultra-C™ filters provide dedicated point-of-use air treatment installed immediately upstream of sensitive instruments, robotic actuators, paint booths, and packaging machinery.
Single-stage models (U200/U201) employ a high-efficiency Type 750 coalescing scrubber cartridge (U3002) that forces microscopic liquid droplets into larger drops that gravimetrically drain into the sump. Dual-stage models (U202/U203) add an upper Type 750 indicating polisher cartridge (U3003) that captures remaining ultra-fine aerosols and provides an unmistakable visual color change from white to pink, eliminating guesswork during maintenance cycles.
Protects sensitive pneumatic valves, flow controllers, air bearings, and analytical instruments from liquid and oil contamination
Color-change polisher provides unambiguous visual indication of element life and prevents premature or overdue maintenance
Automatic drain option (U201/U203) operates autonomously at minimum 20 psi inlet pressure, preventing liquid re-entrainment
Modular design allows rapid cartridge replacement using standard King Filter utility wrench (p/n 2585) or pliers
Optional shatter-guard mesh screens provide additional physical protection for polycarbonate sumps in harsh plant environments

Installation & Maintenance Guidelines
Install the filter in the coolest available location in the compressed air line, as close to the point of end-use as practical. Lower air temperatures encourage vapor to condense into droplets, maximizing coalescing removal efficiency.
Install a drip leg upstream of the filter to catch gross slug volumes of condensate. Polycarbonate bowls must only be cleaned with mild soap and water—avoid chlorinated hydrocarbons, acetone, ketones, and synthetic phosphate ester lubricants.
Always align airflow with the 'Inlet' and 'Outlet' directional markings cast into the aluminum filter head.
Replace the scrubber cartridge and indicating polisher when the pressure drop increases noticeably or when the polisher turns pink halfway up.
Manual drain sumps must be drained daily to prevent liquid accumulation and re-entrainment into downstream process lines.
