FAV Seamless Industrial Sampling Cylinders (1800, 5000 & 10000 PSI)
FAV Seamless Industrial Sampling Cylinders (Sample Bombs) provide safe, certified containment for the collection, transport, and laboratory analysis of pressurized hydrocarbon liquids, gases, petrochemical feedstocks, and corrosive process media. Spun and drawn from high-integrity seamless pipe without longitudinal welds, each cylinder ensures uniform wall thickness, smooth internal radius to prevent sample entrapment, and heavy-duty cold-formed NPT female neck ports. Available in Standard Pressure (1800 PSIG), Medium Pressure (5000 PSIG), and Ultra-High Pressure (10,000 / 15,000 PSIG) series in capacities ranging from 150 cm³ up to 3785 cm³ (1 Gallon).
Seamless Construction: Cold spun from seamless stainless steel pipe with zero welded seams for maximum pressure containment
Pressure Series: 1800 PSIG (Standard / DOT-3E Compliant), 5000 PSIG (Medium Pressure), 10,000 PSIG & 15,000 PSIG (High Pressure)
Standard Capacities: 150cc, 300cc, 400cc, 500cc, 1000cc, 2250cc, and 3785cc (1 Gallon / 1 US Gal)
End Connections: Precision NPT Female ports (1/4" NPT standard; 1/2" NPT and 3/4" NPT on large volumes)

Operational & Safety Notes
Always leave at least 10% to 20% vapor space (using outage tubes) when sampling liquefied gases to avoid thermal hydraulic overpressure.
Inspect rupture disc assemblies prior to each field transport; replace disc if corrosion or mechanical deformation is observed.
Engineering & Safety Highlights
FAV Sampling Cylinders are built for field reliability in refining, offshore production, LNG processing, and chemical analysis. The seamless spun neck design guarantees smooth internal transitions that facilitate laminar fluid draining and complete cleaning between sampling batches.
When taking liquid samples of liquified gases (such as LPG, propane, or ethylene), an outage tube must be installed to maintain a minimum 10% to 20% vapor space above the liquid level, preventing dangerous hydrostatic overpressurization caused by ambient thermal expansion.
Double-ended port configuration allows true flow-through purging prior to sample isolation
Optional rupture disc safety relief valves protect personnel against accidental overpressure during transport
Internal electro-polishing or PTFE lining prevents sample adsorption when testing trace H2S, mercaptans, and volatile organic compounds
Each cylinder is laser-etched with part number, material heat number, serial number, and test pressure
