Fisher GX Control Valve and Actuator System
The Fisher GX is an advanced, highly modular globe control valve and multi-spring pneumatic actuator system engineered specifically for general process control applications across chemical, food and beverage, industrial utilities, pharmaceutical, and OEM equipment skids. Designed to eliminate the complexity of valve and actuator sizing, the Fisher GX combines a high-performance globe body with a pre-matched, low-profile multi-spring diaphragm actuator that integrates internal air passageways—completely eliminating external tubing that can bend, leak, or break during transit and operation. Engineered to meet both ASME and EN dimensional standards within a single unified platform, the GX accommodates clean gases, vapors, steam, and industrial liquids with exceptional precision. Equipped standard with a side-mounted Fisher FIELDVUE™ DVC2000 digital valve controller, the GX system offers push-button auto-calibration, high-visibility digital display, and predictive diagnostics in an ultra-compact footprint that fits into tight skid enclosures where conventional globe valves cannot.
Integrated Valve & Actuator Package: Pre-engineered actuator matching eliminates complex sizing calculations and ensures guaranteed shutoff thrust
Tubing-Free Pneumatic Design: Internal air passageways between actuator and positioner eliminate fragile external pneumatic copper/tubing runs
Universal Global Standards: Meets both ASME B16.34 (Class 150/300) and EN 1092-1 (PN 10 through PN 40) dimensional and flange standards
Ultra-Compact Footprint: Low-profile multi-spring diaphragm actuator significantly reduces overhead clearance requirements and total skid weight

Installation & Startup Notes
The GX valve requires no field tubing; ensure the internal O-ring interface between the positioner base and actuator yoke is clean and lubricated before bolting.
Use the local DVC2000 push-buttons to initiate autocalibration after installation to automatically set travel stops and zero point.
Designed for horizontal pipe runs with vertical actuator orientation; consult engineering for inverted or horizontal actuator mounting.
Integrated Tubing-Free Architecture & Multi-Spring Actuation
In traditional control valve assemblies, connecting the digital positioner to the pneumatic actuator requires external stainless steel tubing, brass compression fittings, and mounting brackets. On vibration-intensive machinery or cramped processing skids, these external tubes frequently vibrate loose, crimp, or leak air.
The Fisher GX re-engineers this layout from the ground up: air channels are cast directly into the actuator yoke and positioner mounting pad. When the FIELDVUE™ DVC2000 positioner is bolted to the GX yoke, pneumatic seals engage automatically without a single external tube or fitting. The low-profile multi-spring actuator minimizes center-of-gravity displacement and withstands severe seismic and piping vibration effortlessly.
Pre-matched actuator spring packages eliminate risk of actuator undersizing or excessive seat damage
Reversible actuator design: easily converts between Fail-Open (Air-to-Close) and Fail-Closed (Air-to-Open) in the field
Compact overall height saves up to 30% vertical clearance compared to legacy globe valve assemblies
Stainless steel fasteners and polyurethane-coated cast aluminum actuator housing deliver superior washdown resistance
Digital Commissioning with Fisher FIELDVUE™ DVC2000
Configuring and calibrating the Fisher GX is intuitive and rapid. The integrated FIELDVUE™ DVC2000 digital valve controller features a high-contrast liquid crystal display and local push buttons that allow technicians to calibrate stroke span, tune dynamic responsiveness, and run diagnostics without requiring a handheld communicator.
