LTI20 Series Radar Level Transmitter
The NOSHOK LTI20 Series Radar Level Transmitter provides high-precision, non-contact continuous level measurement utilizing advanced 60 GHz FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) radar technology. Engineered with an ultra-compact 316L Stainless Steel body (weight approx. 2.8 oz) and a chemically resilient PEEK antenna lens with FKM sealing, it delivers reliable level data across spans from 4 inches (100 mm) up to 300 inches (25 ft / 7.6 m) with ±0.2 inch accuracy (per IEC 62828-4) and ≤ 0.079 inch non-repeatability. The focused ±6° radar beam excels in liquids, highly viscous fluids, and solid media (dielectric constant Er ≥ 2), unaffected by vapors, steam, temperature fluctuations, or agitation. Capable of non-invasive measurement directly through plastic container walls, the LTI20 simplifies integration into mobile machinery, agricultural equipment, injection molding, pumping stations, and industrial storage. It features simple magnetic touch calibration without opening the enclosure, 4-20 mA or 0-5 Vdc 3-wire outputs, M12 or integral cable connections, process pressures up to 362 psi (25 bar), and optional high-temperature ratings up to 302 °F (150 °C).
Continuous non-contact radar level measurement using cutting-edge 60 GHz FMCW technology (57.4 to 61.4 GHz)
Measuring span from 4 in (100 mm) min to 300 in (25 ft / 7.6 m) max distance (extended spans upon request)
High accuracy of ±0.2 inches (±5 mm) per IEC 62828-4 with non-repeatability ≤ 0.079 inches (2 mm)
Focused narrow ±6° beam angle prevents false echoes from internal tank obstructions and agitators

Product Description
The NOSHOK LTI20 Series Radar Level Transmitter is a miniature, ultra-versatile 60 GHz non-contact radar sensor engineered for demanding level monitoring in industrial tanks, mobile hydraulic machinery, agricultural sprayers, and chemical containers. Utilizing narrow-beam FMCW microwave technology, it accurately measures liquid levels, slurries, and solid surfaces through air without physical contact, eliminating issues associated with fluid buildup, aggressive vapors, corrosion, or mechanical wear.
Because 60 GHz radar easily penetrates non-metallic materials, the LTI20 can also be mounted completely outside of plastic IBC totes, drums, and polymer tanks, allowing non-invasive continuous level monitoring without cutting holes or risking chemical leaks. Field commissioning is exceptionally fast thanks to magnetic-key calibration, allowing operators to set the empty/full range by holding a magnet to the housing label.
60 GHz FMCW radar provides reliable millimeter-level tracking unaffected by dust, foam, or atmospheric pressure
Non-invasive mounting through plastic container walls eliminates wetted parts and leak paths
Narrow ±6° beam angle fits small vessel nozzles and avoids internal ladder or mixer reflections
Patented magnetic touch calibration allows sealed zero/span setting in seconds
High temperature option (HT) withstands process fluid temperatures up to 302 °F (150 °C)

Operating & Calibration Notes
Calibration in Empty Tank: 1) Install sensor and connect signal. 2) Hold supplied magnet to 'CAL' label position until signal drops to 1 mA (0 V). 3) Continue holding for ~10 seconds until signal reaches 2.5 mA (2.5 V). 4) Remove magnet; calibration completes automatically in 5 seconds.
External Through-Wall Mounting: When installing outside plastic tanks (IBCs, drums, poly tanks), ensure the plastic wall thickness is uniform and within manufacturer limits, maintaining the sensor perpendicular to the liquid surface.
Beam Clearance: Position the sensor away from tank walls and internal obstructions such as fill pipes, ladders, and agitator blades to avoid false reflections.
Magnetic calibration requires no laptops, programming communicators, or process pressure reference.
High frequency 60 GHz radar penetrates dust, steam, and condensation on the PEEK lens without loss of signal.
IP67 sealed 316L SS housing withstands harsh chemical washdown and mobile outdoor environments.
