CG Cast Resin Dry-Type Transformers (CRT - up to 36 kV / 10 MVA)
CG Power and Industrial Solutions Cast Resin Dry-Type Transformers (CRT) are the premier power distribution solution for high-density commercial centers, hospitals, underground metros, industrial manufacturing facilities, offshore oil platforms, and enclosed indoor substations where the presence of flammable transformer oil poses unacceptable fire, explosion, or environmental hazards. Engineered in ratings from 100 kVA up to 10,000 kVA (10 MVA) for voltage classes up to 36 kV, CG Cast Resin Transformers encapsulate high-voltage copper or aluminum windings in pure epoxy resin filled with silica under high vacuum. This precision casting process creates a void-free solid monolithic barrier that completely protects the active winding coils against moisture ingress, chemical fumes, conductive dust, and harsh ambient humidity. Certified to the highest international fire-behavior and environmental classifications (F1, C2, E2 per IEC 60076-11), CG cast resin transformers are non-flammable, self-extinguishing, release zero toxic gases during thermal emergencies, and deliver massive dynamic overload capacity without requiring fire-barrier containment walls or drainage oil catch basins.
100% Fire-Safe & Self-Extinguishing: F1 fire-behavior certified per IEC 60076-11; eliminates building fire hazards and allows installation directly adjacent to loads
Zero Environmental & Leak Risk: Fluid-free design requires no oil spill containment pits, firewalls, or water deluge suppression systems
High Capacity Range: Available from 100 kVA up to 10 MVA across primary voltage classes up to 36 kV (including 4.16 kV, 11 kV, 13.8 kV, 24 kV, and 34.5 kV)
Moisture & Dust Impervious: C2 (climatic) and E2 (environmental) certified; withstands heavy condensation, salt-fog maritime air, and heavy industrial pollution

Indoor Substation Installation Notes
Maintain adequate ventilation airflow in the transformer room: provide minimum 4 m³/min of cooling air per kW of total transformer loss.
Ensure minimum 500 mm clearance between the enclosure or open coils and surrounding walls to allow unrestricted convective air circulation.
Verify all terminal copper busbar connections are tightened to certified torque specs using calibrated torque wrenches before energization.
Vacuum Cast Resin Technology & Fire-Safe Safety (IEC 60076-11)
Installing conventional oil-filled transformers inside multi-story commercial buildings, data centers, hospitals, or offshore oil platforms entails severe civil engineering and fire safety expenses: thick concrete firewall vaults, oil sump catchment basins, gravel beds, and specialized halon or water-mist fire suppression systems.
CG Cast Resin Dry-Type Transformers eliminate these architectural hurdles entirely. The high-voltage coils are wound from electrolytic copper strip and vacuum-cast inside solid quartz-filled epoxy resin molds. Because there is zero oil or flammable dielectric fluid, the transformer cannot explode or sustain combustion. In the event of an external building fire, the epoxy resin is self-extinguishing (Class F1) and emits virtually zero halogen or toxic fumes.
Can be installed directly inside indoor switchgear rooms immediately adjacent to low-voltage switchboards, reducing expensive LV copper busway runs
Significantly lowers building insurance premiums by eliminating liquid transformer explosion hazards
Requires zero routine fluid dielectric maintenance, filtering, or environmental spill reporting
Compact physical footprint saves valuable indoor commercial real estate and plant floor space
Forced-Air Cooling Boost (AF Mode) & Temperature Management
CG cast resin transformers offer exceptional operational flexibility through their thermal design. While operating quietly under natural air convection (AN mode), adding modular cross-flow cooling fans mounted at the bottom of the coils increases the continuous power rating by up to 40% (AF mode).
